Captain Craig Brouillette, supervisor of Foreclosure and Judicial Process and has served the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office since June 16, 1985. His assignments have included Corrections, Uniform Patrol, Narcotics, Grants, D.A.R.E and Human Resources. He attended the P.O.S.T. LSU Basic Academy in 1987. He’s currently P.O.S.T. certified to teach in the EBRSO Corrections Academy. He’s been happily married to his wife Sharon for 27 years and together they have three children. He is a second generation law enforcement officer.
He supervises the seizure and sales of moveable and real estate properties, in accordance with court orders directed to the Sheriff's Office. He also supervises the input of civil and criminal subpoenas, temporary restraining orders etc., for East Baton Rouge Parish, and other jurisdictions in Louisiana and throughout the United States.
Foreclosure Department
The Foreclosure Department is responsible for the seizure and sale of real and moveable properties in accordance with writs of seizure directed to the Sheriff's office. Such writs may result from foreclosure proceedings, monetary judgments, and other actions of the courts. Sheriff's sales are conducted by this department each Wednesday at 10:00AM in the lobby of the Governmental Building at 222 St. Louis Street, Baton Rouge, LA. The sales alternate weekly between those for real and moveable properties. The activities of the Foreclosure Department may also be viewed online with the Online Civil Process and Foreclosure System. The site contains listings of properties to be offered at Sheriff's sale.
