UPDATE: Dain Marcus Bueche, 37, of 1100 Berthier Street New Roads, LA is charged with Second Degree Murder.
Bueche's sister contacted the Pointe Coupee Sheriff's Office yesterday afternoon stating she believed her brother committed a homicide.
She stated she observed her brother covered in blood, and he told her he picked up a female in Baton Rouge and she pulled a knife on him. He further stated he took the knife from the woman, stabbed her and beat her with a dumbbell. After stabbing and beating her, he said he dumped her body in some weeds somewhere in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Officers with the New Roads Police Department were dispatched to the Bueche's residence and observed him attempting to clean what appeared to be blood from his vehicle. When he saw the New Roads Police Officers, he attempted to flee but was apprehended. Bueche was transported to the Pointe Coupee Sheriff’s Office, where he made statements admitting to telling his sister he killed a woman and dumped her body in a wooded area somewhere in East Baton Rouge Parish.
After executing the search warrants on the residence and the vehicle several DNA Swabs were collected which tested positive for human blood. These DNA Swabs were later taken for analysis to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab.
Authorities discovered a body this afternoon in the 31000 block of Greenwell Springs Rd N. in a wooded area.
A subject identified as Dain Bueche, (8/12/78), gave Pointe Coupee authorities information in reference to the possible homicide yesterday afternoon. EBRSO, Louisiana State Police, East Feliciana Sheriff’s Office and Pointe Coupee Sheriff’s Office have been searching around the clock after receiving the information. Bueche is currently in custody.
